Meet Moser’s Farm Partners: We think our honey producers are the “bee’s knees”

Nine Acres Nest Farms:

From their humble beginnings with their first swarm of bees, Nine Acres Nest Farms have grown their apiary to now include 20-producing hives. Owners Keith and Jessamin Moreland thank you for supporting their farm and hard-working honey bees. Unlike most single source honey on the market, Nine Acres Nest Farms’ bees work hard from April to July to bring a truly unique and diverse honey from trees, flower and plants on their farm and surrounding areas. Nectar and pollen sources include: plums, elm, willow, apple, peach, Sugar Maple, raspberry, blackberry, locust, clover, tulip poplar, elderberry and many more. “Acquiring a farm has been a dream of ours, and we’re so glad we can do it here in Delaware with bees and a wonderful garden of organic vegetables,” said the Morelands.

Batterson’s Beeyard

Battersons Honey is produced by youth 4-H beekeepers, siblings Zane and Sadie Batterson. They decided to start keeping bees when they were in remote learning due to Covid. They say their favorite part of beekeeping is extracting honey from the combs usually in the Spring and Fall. Through 4-H, Zane has proudly been the Delaware County beekeeping delegate at the Ohio State Fair for the past two years. Sadie is a first-year beekeeper through 4-H and is very excited to start learning more about bees. “The 4-H community is incredible … the county and state fairs have always been a blast, and we highly recommend checking them out,” said the Batterson kids. They also thank you for considering their local honey #Savethebees

“Meet Moser’s Farm Partners” regularly features the area farmers who bring you “farm fresh, flavor first” produce at Moser’s Farm Market and Barn.
